AI Dungeon Alternative — an AI adventure that has rules
AI Dungeon showed how much fun a free-form story with a neural network can be. But there the world is reinvented every time, and the AI easily agrees with anything. LitRPG is also a text adventure with AI, but in a persistent shared world and with rules that cannot be bypassed.
What it shares with AI Dungeon and how it differs
As in AI Dungeon, you write any action and the neural network continues the story. We are not a copy of AI Dungeon and are not affiliated with its authors — this is a separate game with its own world.
- A persistent world — one island for all players, with a map, a town, villages, and castles.
- Rules — the d20 roll, experience, gold, and loot are counted by the server, not the model.
- Progression — the hero levels up, collects items, builds a house, and gathers a squad.
- A book — you can get a book of your playthrough in fb2, epub, or pdf.
AI games where the AI does not play along
The main trouble with AI games is that the AI is too agreeable. Here the game master sees what is in the hero's bag and how strong they are, and will not hand out a reward that does not exist. Separate helpers check facts so the game master does not mix up who stands where.
Pictures, clips, and voice
The AI draws key scenes. The hero and inhabitants have an appearance passport, so they stay themselves in pictures. Some moments turn into short clips, and NPC lines can be voiced.
